Saw (2004)
disturbingly original premise, not the most intelligent or intricate plot development, pretty awful acting, felt a lot like those low-budget b-movies from the 1950s (which i happen to almost adore so, not a big deal). i also hear the plot gets less important as the series goes on anyway so maybe it doesn’t really matter.
